You can nip these problems in the bud by ALWAYS using "One Use Credit Cards" for ANY online transaction. Remember, once they have your CC number, they can do MUCH damage that can take forever to straighten out. BUT, with the "One Use", once THAT transaction is done, the card is DEAD. Just make sure you don't use the "One Use" for stuff you legitimately WANT to renew.
