To return just the card (even for some small "restocking" fee), get the $100 back and buy a soundcard somewhere else?

I'm all for fighting for your rights and such, but this small victory doesn't seem worth the hassle of multiple 4-hour phonecalls.

Either Dell knowingly did false advertising or were just dumb. I can understand the tech's not getting it but when Customer Care has that same attitude, that's too much. I feel that this was classic bait and switch. Kudos to the guy for sticking to his guns.
