Today I received a fake bill from the New Yorker Magazine. Technically, I don't know what it was.  It  did not use the words "subscription offer" nor did it use the word "invoice".  Nevertheless it had the look and feel of a bill. Into the trash it went.

One of the so-called "benefits" of this subscription was auto-renewal. I saw that Ed has an article on auto-renewal scams "Autorenewal Lurks in Spyware Doctor" (Friday, March 21, 2008).
