Just use those leftover small amounts to buy gas. Put the card in the pump and it automatically cuts off when the card is emptied.

Two thoughts.  The credit cards with just a few $s are easy to use.  Most retail stores can handle these.  If you have a purchase for say 10$ and you have a card with $.17, just give them that card first.  They will swipe it and then you will owe $9.83.  Just pay the balance.

I have also been told that you can take the card to your bank and deposit them like a check.  Have not done this so not sure if it works.  

I agree with the previous posts, when you get them, dump them ASAP!!!  Buy groceries, or convert to cash.
