I will notify HR Block that if TaxCut 2008 requires running as administrator I will look elsewhere after over a decade as a TaxCut customer. That said, this potential security weakness in TaxCut 2007 can be moderated by using the Windows "run as' feature to start TaxCut as an administrator even while Windows is otherwise running a restricted user account. Of course, if malware somehow got into the TaxCut CD preparation or the HR Block internet update system (this has happened to other companies) you're still screwed since TaxCut is running with administrator privileges. Hope for the best and run a good firewall...
