On the Internet, email has the same security as a postcard. Surely these lawyers wouldn't be using postcards for this type of traffic. If these are privaleged, nondisclosable discussions, they should not be conducted via postcard or email. These days, since AT&T is apparently running voice traffic through the NSA and the FBI can wiretap at will, you probably shouldn't even use the telephone.
