Since when has law not been a business? I've worked for lawyers in the past. They're mostly decent people who work hard to make a living, just like you do. And most companies, be they law firms or not, exist to make a profit. That doesn't mean that class action suits are good or even right. But a portion of the legal trade is a business, and always has been.
