Dad threw the tv out the window[ Parent ] (none / 0) (#20)

Mr. Smith should throw his TV out the window. I stopped watching TV in college, when I couldn't afford one.

Years later I dated a woman who liked to watch TV and discovered that it was like watching broadcasting from another planet. It was loud, boring, and inane. The things that are supposed to be funny, aren't. The news is so shallow that it's meaningless. And being bombarded by commercials is just too much.

If you go without TV for long enough, you will see how strange it is.

Without TV, you will go visit friends, build stuff in your shop, go outside, read books, play your guitar. Live life more fully.

How many of your limited number of heartbeats do you want to waste staring at a screen?

bah, I'm going for a walk.
