What Mr. Smith Should Do[ Reply to This ] (none / 0) (#13)

Go to www.bbb.org, find DirectTVs contact information, and call, email, or send a letter to the most senior contact listed explaining the situation. While the company cannot change anything on Mr. Jones' account without Mr. Jones' permission, they can CONTACT (preferably by letter) Mr. Jones and VERIFY his email address, other information (and if they handle it tactfully, they never have to tell him that they already know there is a problem, much less how they acquired the information).
For Instance: Dear Mr. Jones, Welcome to DirecTV. Please take a moment to review the following contact information. If corrections are necessary, mark them in the space provided and return this form in the envelope provided, or call us at 999-999-9999. Thank you and have a wonderful day, DirecTV New Account Services

Ask them if they can stop their practice of making pay per view channels unavailable during NFL games (except for one channel). People that pay for the priviledge of paying to view movies on these channels are unable to use them during games. I've heard that DirecTV does this so they can ust the bandwidth to broadcast more football games in HD, but was actually told by DirecTV customer service person that the NFL "buys the channels out" so people will watch the games. If this is the case, does the NFL pay for a receiver for each connection and have each receiver connected to a phone line as is required for all other DirecTV PPv customers?
