I have no problem with the information the site provides. It's all there AFTER you put in your card info, and other verification data. After that it doesn't really matter whether it's a scam or not, you've already made your choice. At least they have a number you can call or look up to attempt to verify the site, even if they have no mailing address or email.

The site doesn't need a jazzy flash intro or anything, it just needs to not be so utterly ugly, missing various links, like it was put together by a 1st year design dropout in bangladesh with dreamweaver. And of course some relation to the physical world beyond a phone number. It lends zero confidence to any veteran of many hastily setup scam sites in recent years.

(They recently gave it a facelift, I guess, consisting of changing the color scheme from light blue to dark, and even that's halfassed. Maybe that's their way of flipping the bird at people who said the site looks bogus.)

I just visited that site. I know it's purpose is to give access to your credit card data, but DANG, it's UGLY! I've seen phishing sites that looked better and had some graphics. Even Google has more color and looks more genuine than this site does. I'd NEVER log onto a site that looked this phishy. Chase and Citicorp and discover and the like all have sites that LOOK like corporate sites. Why aren't there any logos, etc.? The only positive for this site is that it's SSL.

I just visited the site, at 1:15 MDT, and it doesn't look like what I've seen described. IMHO, it currently seems like something I'd be more inclined to trust than not, based just on how it looks. (Graphics with company logos of the credit reporting agencies, appropriate use of color, etc)

So, the only conclusion I can draw is they just barely changed their site today. (Who knows if it was in response to this gripelog or not...)

I just realized something: What's there is a generic template that a bank can customize to its needs. You have to delete the cookies for that site completely (it still keeps your bank info if not your username/password). If your bank has sufficiently customized their site it might look nice. But you first have to set up an account before you see that.

I guess they probably slapped up a couple of lame templates and put all the onus on banks to make it look respectable, if they don't want to go through the trouble of integrating it into their own sites.
