It doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me (and I am no fan of EULA's). As far as EULA's go it does read very straight forward. The purpose of the $2,000 "fine" is to discourage SPAM. I think if they tried to go after a friend of a customer as suggested above that the story would spread like wild fire across the internet and they would quickly loose customers. In order to be enforcable against a spammer (who presumably makes money and has access to a lawer) they have to clearly state what constitutes a SPAM message. By citing written law they have clear definitions to work with if they try and collect the money from a spammer. Otherwise, the spammers lawyer will just get them off the hook by claiming they didn't have a clear definition of what type of "communication" is blocked. This seems to be aimed at spammers and not the public at large. I would accept this agreement to send my friend an e-mail.
