Haven't received mine yet[ Reply to This ] (none / 0) (#2)

I managed to hold out for a week, but I just caved in and ordered a copy of DOOM 3. If the game objects to the mere presence of certain software packages on my hard drive, that information better be clearly stated on the outside of the box. Most stores won't accept software returns if the box has been opened. If I have to break the shrinkwrap and attempt to install it in order to stumble over this restriction, Activision or id Software will refund my money, even if I have to take them to small claims court.

I think that is a great point. If a game is incompatible with certain software, it should state as much in the system requirements. Unfortunately, I regret to inform you that the Doom 3 box does not do so. Please take Activision to court first though. I'm a big fan of The Carmack, and he needs the money for a new rocket.
