WARNING the following advice may cause damage to your windows system either read up a bit and know what your doing or dont do the following at all dont blame gripe2ed.com either cus they didnt write this. having said that its pretty easy to do this just make sure you make a back up first. it does work for me but dont blame meif you get it wrong. EDIT before you do this make a restore point. in xp goto to help and support in startmenu and look for restore on the help homepage ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' if you want to play doom with cloncd still installed then make a back up of [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes] and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Elaborate Bytes] you do this selecting the keys folders ie "elaborate bytes" and going to the file menu and choosing export call them clone1 and clone2 or what ever you like and save them to the desktop (open the file for editing by rightclicking on the file and choosing edit this will open notepad) youll have two reg files you can either merge the two by cutting and pasting but leaving out the second "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" line. (just paste the contents of clone2 on the end of clone1) and save the file as "addcloncdback.reg" or keep them separate eithers fine merging them just makes it a bit more effecient open a new text file in notepad and add the following #####start######dont include this line Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes] [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Elaborate Bytes] #####end######dont include this line note the '-' before HKEY this will delete the reg key. just save it as "deleteclone.reg" including ""in notepad save as box otherwise youll get a file called deleteclone.reg.txt . when you need to play doom3 stop clonecd in the tray by right clicking/exit ( you may have to disable virtual drive separatly just right click on the task bar and goto to virtual drive and select disable from the dropdown box but i think jsut closing the task tray clonce icon will do that) and then double click deleteclone.reg to remove the registry entries after that doom3 runs without any hastle. and when you you need to use any elaborate bytes software double click either addcloncdback.reg or clone1.reg and clone2.reg or whatever you saved them as when you backed them up. it worked for me just make sure you back up keys by exporting them otherwise you may have to reinstall clonced if you lucky. omoora
