One of the techs slipped and told me one time that the time on when your subscription to Symantec is kept is on you computer, not at Symantec. When I could not renew my subscription he told me to delete the Symantec Virus Program then delete the Symantec Common Folder in the programs folder. Re install Symantec and it will give you another full year of virus protection. Their computer checks the install date on your computer and will give you all the latest updtes.
