amazon used to have me on a list where the only way you could get off was with the credit card numbers to "prove" who you were.  Of course my purchase had been years ago with a credit card long cancelled....

Anyway, until they removed me I thought a cute trick would be to set up a fowarding e-mail rule that would:
a) forward the spam to the highest e-mail address I could find for the company (plus support, marketing, whatever, etc....)
b) add an intro paragraph that reads:
"This message is spam your company sent to me.  I've auto-deleted it so I've not seen it.  This forward is automatic.  Everytime you send me spam, you'll receive a copy of it.  Please remove me from your mailing list."
