Funny, I just came here to post a bitch about Intuit in an older thread.  Lo and behold, there's a new one for me!

You know the drill... yearly reinstall of the OS and all the apps.  Quickbooks Pro 2003 is, of course, "registerware" -- the last damn application requiring what amounts to product activation that ever got my money (or ever will again).  

Well, I couldn't register online, because a product with that serial number was already registered! (Go figure!) I had to spend ten minutes on the phone with Intuit to get it fixed, and had to fend off two separate hard-sell attempts at getting me to sign up for some support deal.  $#&*%!@#(!@!#$

I hate Intuit and rue the day I bought Quickbooks.  I should have known better.

I also feel sorry for the people who will have to go through the same ordeal with a dozen or more pieces of software, thanks to product activation.
