Why do people act so *shocked* about all this? "Our" Congressmen have absolutely no interest in solving this problem, or *any* problem other than those that hinder giant corporations from earing greater profits. They just keep coming up with these cutesy-named acts (CAN-SPAM, No Children Left Behind, etc.) that pretend to solve a problem (so "our" government leaders can claim to be actually trying to solve problems) without actually doing anything. I have totally given up on the U.S. government ever again being able to actually solve an important problem of any kind. They exist only to protect the wealthy few from the rest of us (and anything that might hinder even greater profits).
