'Fraid this shouldn't really be news to anyone - this was clear before it was inacted. But I remain amazed at the audacity of the backers of this bill in our Goverenment. They even had the bravado to call it "Can Spam", and still no-one noticed its real intent.

When I read the AOL, Earthlink, etc., action against spammers I initially wondered at the reference to the CAN-SPAM act same as you, and for the same reasons, but decided it was referenced because they were touting the fact that they were still able to bring this action despite the CAN-SPAM act.
