Current BT Drivers Expire[ Reply to This ] (none / 0) (#1)

I bought an OEM version of a Tecom BT dongle. Everything worked fine until one day, the software drivers wouldn't load, saying the license had expired. Since this was an OEM version, the company whose name was on the dongle had no software drivers available. I did get some help from Widcomm, who pointed me to Tecom. There I was able to get updated drivers and an updated license file. Now, though, I want to upgrade to the latest Widcomm stack. The dongle is now discontinued, so there are no new drivers. Very frustrating. BT technology is and can be very useful. I current have a dongle at work and at home and use the interface to sync my PDA. I also have a BT phone and can use the phone data features with my PDA using BT. I also have a BT headset. It's sad that the makers of this technology are the ones getting in the way of it really taking off as a consumer alternative.
