Another issue that comes up here is development and testing.  I don't use the Miva product, but we regularly put test/development systems into a test lab before we make any changes to a production system.  How many companies have multiple instances of Miva and want to also maintain a test bed system?  Most companies I know about don't worry if you use a technically unlicensed copy in a test lab for such purposes.  But Miva users will no longer be able to do this.  They will have to pay a full license just to have a test-bed system.
