Sure, that works for now, but Adobe has implemented activation for Photoshop, so it's not unreasonable to expect it to make an appearance in other Adobe apps, including InDesign, in the future.

I just installed the entire CS series of apps on some Macs at a client's and I didn't see anything about activation mentioned in/on any of them. Perhaps Adobe only tacked this onto the individual-license copies, because the copies I installed had multi-user license codes.

Even multi-user license stuff with Quark is a hassle, there's some sort of keyserver app that needs to be run to manage the licenses and make sure Quark gets every dime that's coming to them-- literally. It apparently lets you launch more copies of Quark than you have a license for, phones home to report your usage to Quark, who then BILLS you for any overages. Do a search for "Quark License Server" in Google Groups and you'll see what I'm talking about. People are pissed-- and apparently Quark started doing it with version 5 early this year, so I'm glad my one client who upgraded to 5 got in under the wire when they were still issuing multi-user license codes for it.
